I've made a few patches in the past couple months. Here they are in order from first to latest...

This one is just a random piece of clipart someone uploaded as an emoji on a slack chat.


This is my roommate's "lifestyle" logo that I took and embroidered into a patch. He stitched it onto his backpack.


this one is a 100% original design. made for a friend who likes possums.


they're time consuming but I've always been into hand making stuff that takes a while. very relaxing and rewarding.

Pins I bought at Chicago Kyoto (Kyoto branch of the famous vintage store from Harajuku) for friends, including a skull pin for my trucker jacket, "MONEY TALKS AND BULLSHIT WALKS" for my econ major friend, "DRUNK AGAIN" for my bar-hopping friend, and "I (love) VIDEO POKER" for my video art friend.

Chicago Kyoto had a whole board of pins that I'm pretty sure are all from the 80's-- I also saw "AVAILABLE FOR WEEKENDS", "DON'T FUCK WITH MY REALITY", "EVERYONE HAS THEIR PRICE", "I (love) BEING #1", etc. A lot of ones about American veterans and confederate flags as well. I'll check out the pins they have in Tokyo when I go this week. Some pics under the cut.

made a few patches recently. bought a free motion foot for my sewing machine because I was getting too impatient to do everything by hand!

some friends and I have done some early morning hiking over the past year and we joked about getting patches, so I made some:



keeping in the tradition of only making patches for friends, I made this for RYAN. (a fellow fan of arthur russell - see spoiler for original art)





I've got a lot of ideas but it seriously takes me forever to get off my ass and just make shit.

the applique on my pretzel hat was peeling so I made a new patch to cover it up. it's Kumamon, the mascot for the Kumamoto Prefecture in Japan. for this one, I used my sewing machine to do all of the black and then hand stitched the detail and edging.
